Get paid to learn the infrastructure the world runs on: data centers, fiber networks, and enterprise technology deployments. You'll work alongside engineers who do this every day, on real projects, at real sites.
No prior industry experience required to start. A clear path forward once you do.
Now accepting applications. Positions available nationally.
This is a W-2 job, not an unpaid internship and not a stipend. You earn from day one, with health coverage, 401(k), and vacation. There is no unpaid version of this program.
Within your first months you'll be on live customer projects, installing, testing, documenting, and troubleshooting real infrastructure under the supervision of experienced technicians and program managers.
The program is built as a tiered progression with published requirements at every level. Advancement is based on demonstrated skill against defined criteria, not on how long you've been here, and not on who you know.
Our work follows the builds. Apprentices deploy to active project sites across the United States, and your offer sets out how project travel is arranged and reimbursed.
Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent
Start with foundational training and supervised hands-on experience. You'll learn the tools, the standards, and the safety practices that govern every site we work on.
Coursework available in multiple languages. L0 training materials are offered in several international languages so you can learn in the language that works best for you.
→ Build a strong foundation
Requirement: College degree (Associate's or Bachelor's)
Apply what you already know and take on wider responsibility. L1 apprentices move faster into independent work and start contributing to project outcomes directly.
→ Advance your career
Requirement: Master's degree
L2 is our technical program management track. You'll learn to plan, coordinate, document, and drive infrastructure builds to completion, building the foundation of a Technical Program Manager career.
International students: L2 is the track we hire CPT and OPT candidates into. See International Students below for how the program is structured around your degree and your training requirements.
→ Lead and make an impact
Certifications and industry experience are welcome but are not the gate.
You earn a wage from your first day of training.
Full benefits package.
Published advancement criteria at every tier.
Service Global deploys apprentices nationally to active data center, fiber, and enterprise technology projects. You'll be assigned a primary worksite and travel to project sites as builds require. Expect significant travel.
If you're an F-1 student finishing a Master's in Information Systems/IT, Engineering (Electrical, Computer, or Telecommunications), or Computer Science, our Technical Program Manager Trainee track is built for you.
The TPM Trainee track is a technical program management role, not general labor. You'll work on:
This matters for your status: your employment must be directly related to your field of study. We've designed this role, and the training plan behind it, so that connection is clear and documented. If your day-to-day ever drifts away from the technical and program-management work described in your plan, we want you to raise it with your supervisor.
| Tier | Focus | You'll learn to |
|---|---|---|
| T1 - Foundation | Documentation, tracking, supervised technical exposure | Maintain records, tickets, and dashboards; read cable schedules and rack elevations; learn standards and safety |
| T2 - Applied Coordination | Owning coordination workstreams | Own trackers and data accuracy; run QA/QC tracking; drive blockers to resolution; support SLA and schedule reporting |
| T3 - Program Coordination (pre-TPM) | Running defined work packages | Coordinate a work package end to end; drive cross-functional blockers; prepare customer-facing reporting; support turnover and closeout |
Your entry tier is set by a structured assessment at hiring across six dimensions covering education, relevant experience, infrastructure foundation, data and tooling skills, coordination exposure, and communication. A stronger profile can start at T2 or T3. Placement is by demonstrated capability.
Advancement requires both a minimum time in your current tier and a passed competency review. Time alone doesn't advance you; neither does an early competency check. Conversion to a full Technical Program Manager role is the program's goal for participants who complete T3 and meet readiness criteria. It is not automatic, and we'll be candid with you about your track.
You'll be assigned a mentor, either a Technical Program Manager or a Project Manager, and a named training supervisor. Your training is delivered and supervised by Service Global.
We will not ask for your EAD, immigration documents, citizenship, or country of origin during recruiting. Work-authorization documents are handled through the standard I-9 process after hire, the same way they are for every employee. If anyone asks you for extra or different documents because of your status, tell us.
Come ready to explain the specific connection between your degree and this work: network design, fiber optics, structured-cabling QA, test engineering, project controls, data and reporting. Know your OPT category, your key dates, and your DSO contact.
A note on advice: Your DSO is the authority on your individual immigration status, and our HR team is not your DSO. This page describes how our program is designed. It is not legal or immigration advice, and nothing here should be relied on as a determination about your eligibility.
Questions specific to CPT/OPT or your training plan? Email apprenticeship@serviceglobal.com and put "International" in the subject line. DSOs and university career-services staff are welcome to contact us at the same address.
Submit your application and resume through the form. It takes a few minutes.
A short conversation about your background, your interest, and your ability to travel.
A structured conversation with the hiring team. For L2/international candidates, this includes the tier placement assessment.
Your offer specifies your tier, pay, primary worksite, and start date. Structured onboarding covers safety, standards, tools, and documentation practices, and you'll be assigned a mentor.
Yes. It's a full-time W-2 position with a wage from day one, plus benefits. There is no unpaid version.
No. L0 requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a willingness to learn. We train you.
Significant. Our work follows active builds across the country. You'll have an assigned primary worksite and deploy to project sites as needed. How project travel is arranged and reimbursed is set out in our travel policy and in your offer.
There's hands-on physical work. You'll be in active data center and construction environments, on ladders and raised floors, occasionally lifting to about 25 lbs, in required PPE. But the program is built around technical skill: systems, testing, standards, documentation, and quality. L2 is primarily coordination and program management.
Depends on your tier and demonstrated competency. There are published minimum times in each tier and a competency review you must pass. We don't advance people on tenure alone.
Yes. Remaining at a tier is permitted, and your training continues within that tier's scope. Be aware that participants who remain at an early tier typically don't convert into the full Technical Program Manager role. Your manager will make that clear early rather than late.
See International Students above.
